Seguramente, a los lectores de este blog, les he contado que a la entrada del estado de Tlaxcala, cuna de la nación, hay una serie de letreros a los que no les encuentro explicación. Hasta ahora. Al venir sobre la carretera México-Puebla y tomar la desviación a Tlaxcala, cuna de la Nación, uno puede leer a pie de pavimento "PROHIBIDO PASTAR", este letrero se repite algunas veces hasta que la autopista desemboca en la pequeña capital. Lo más lógico, sin duda, es pensar que los escritores de dicho letrero se equivocaron y lo que en realidad quisieron decir fue "PROHIBIDO EL PASTOREO", sin embargo, no hay quien pueda atestiguar dicha hipótesis. Últimamente me había parecido lo más coherente pensar que las vacas son capaces de leer, por ello es que las autoridades decidieron poner mensajes que impactan directamente en quien comete el ilícito, a saber, pastar. La evidencia de que las vacas leen, si bien es abundante, creo que no ayuda para determinar por qué existen dichos letreros o quien pudo haberlos escrito. Mi más reciente conclusión es que hubo un habitante del lugar que, sin duda, sabía leer y escribir y decidió poner estos letreros al ver que hay campesinos con tanta hambre que deciden pastar y, dado que algunos no saben leer, pueden ser ayudados por las vacas cultas para descifrar aquellos símbolos que ante sus ojos no emiten mensaje alguno.jueves, octubre 11, 2007
